BIRTH DOULA SERVICES +

MOVEMENT SESSIONS

WITH THE DANCING DOULA

I'm Robin Neveu Brown, DONA International-trained birth doula, Certified Movement Analyst and somatic practitioner, and dance artist/educator.

In labor and birth, I utilized my training, instincts, and deep trust of my body to rock, sway, and essentially dance my babies out of me. It was pure JOY!

I loved giving birth.
That powerful truth

led me to birthwork.

As your birth doula, my goal is to share with both you and your partner the best tools and resources to feel grounded in your ability to trust the birthing body, make choices, and communicate with your care team.

These tools and resources include:

Whether you choose a hospital birth, birthing center, or home birth, you deserve knowledgeable, calm, and compassionate support from someone who is in your and your partner's corner. I will work with you and your partner during pregnancy to learn more about you and how best to support you so that you feel empowered and prepared for the transition into parenthood.

Movement is key to health-- physical, mental, and emotional. I offer both private sessions and group classes for prenatal and postpartum mothers. Through a combination of Pilates, somatic movement, and playful dance explorations, we will develop the mind/body/baby connection, discover your strength, and work on a healthy balance of mobility and stability, all of which support birth and early parenthood.

SLIDING SCALE PACKAGES

Everyone deserves birth support.

I offer my services on a sliding scale in order to mitigate economic or financial barriers that would otherwise prevent people from getting the care and support that they need and desire. I can provide a detailed sliding scale chart to help your family make decisions. The prices and service packages listed below serve as jumping-off points for our conversation. If you are curious about the benefits of movement and doula support for your journey but need more flexibility, please reach out to me. Let's connect!

What Supported Families Are Saying

"Robin was truly an incredible support during my birth experience. When I didn’t feel like I had the courage to speak up or defend myself, she stepped in and advocated for me with such care and confidence. At the same time, she always respected my choices and made sure I felt comfortable with every decision along the way. Before active labor, she shared many thoughtful suggestions that helped make the experience feel calm, positive, and even enjoyable. Those moments helped me feel more prepared and supported going into labor. During active labor, her guidance and encouragement made such a difference. I honestly don’t think things would have progressed the way they did without her support. She helped me manage the pain in ways that made the experience much more bearable, especially compared to my previous childbirth experiences. My husband and I are so grateful that we chose to have Robin support us. Her presence brought comfort, strength, and reassurance during such an important moment in our lives. She helped turn what could have been an overwhelming experience into one that felt empowering and deeply meaningful for our family."

"As the support person, I am extremely grateful for Robin!!! My partner and I did a whole lot of prep work in the months leading to the big day and just as we thought we had it all planned out perfectly, our initial doula threw us a curveball and told us she could not make the trip to be there with us. Upon meeting Robin virtually for introductions, I sensed right away that she would be great and she did not disappoint. She offered honesty, straightforwardness, structure and comfort, which helped me completely gain the confidence I needed to provide the best level of care and support for my partner. Her approach was one of the utmost care to teach, share resources, and fully allow us to make our own decisions without overwhelming us with others’ experiences. Her presence in the room during labor/birth was a constant reminder for me to remain grounded and supported us EXACTLY as we wished it. We will definitely rehire her in the future."

Patrick M.

"Robin was critical in the birth of our daughter. Starting with the sessions at home, she helped my partner feel comfortable and at ease. During labor/birth, her experience and advice was so needed for both of us. We couldn't have done it without her!"
